I’ve never been one to travel much. I suppose most of the reason is because I don’t like flying and I don’t particularly like having to sleep in a strange bed with strange pillows and strange sounds. I’m a creature of habit more than most people and traveling, more than anything, interferes with that trait.
There are a number of oddball experiences I have had traveling. I realize this is true for most people, but experiences (odd or not) vary from one person to another. Some of mine are really strange.

With no other place on this site to put this picture, I thought I would stick it in right here. My first wife (Chris) and I took a trip to the Florida Keys in 1992. It was just months after Hurricane Andrew had ripped through southern Florida wiping out everything in its path. It is the costliest hurricane in US history. We flew to Miami and then drove down to the Keys. In order to do that, you had to cross the path of where Andrew came ashore. The path was 20 miles wide and all we could see was moderate-to-total destruction. We happened to pull into a parking lot and this car was still sitting there. I've never seen any vehicle this destroyed - not even by tornadoes.
